We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at the Centre for Clinical Vaccinology and Tropical Medicine.
You will be responsible to facilitate and conduct routine review of volunteers within the scope of the trial specific protocol in liaison with the PI or their delegated representative. You will have to facilitate and carry out vaccinations within the professional scope of practice ensuring the safe handling of vaccines. You will maintain accurate records of all reviews, document findings and inform the lead clinician/senior staff where appropriate in a timely manner of any concerns. You will provide cross cover for clinical trials and colleagues in their absence and as required, and provide advice and information to volunteers with regard to their participation in clinical research in order to facilitate effective informed consent, ensuring the volunteer fully understands the nature of the clinical trial, risks and commitment required.
It is essential that you are an NMC Registered Nurse (Adult) with post registration experience in a relevant area of practice. You will have evidence of venepuncture skills and practice and of continuing professional development. Demonstrable evidence of good computer literacy (Inc MS Office) and good organisational skills is also required. You will have evidence of ability to work independently.
