Job overview

The Black Country Recovery Collegeare looking to recruit a Digital Officer that will lead on the development, administration and management of the Recovery College website, social media, digital library and Moodle learning management system. Holds a Level 3 Diploma in Creative Digital Media or equivalent experience in addition to having demonstrable experience in a similar, leading and advisory role on social media and website content authoring and management,the management of digital libraries, administering and the management of Moodle or other learning management systems, using digital platforms such as Teams and Zoom and desktop publishing.

The post holder will have personal experience of mental health challenges, through family or own lived experience, empathy, compassion and patience and a keenness to make a positive contribution to the recovery of students through digital solutions.

Main duties of the job

To be an advisory regarding all Black Country Recovery College digital projects. Supporting the authoring, creation and publishing of the Recovery College website content in addition to participating in the development of social media and web based marketing and promotional campaigns in partnership with the Marketing Group. Support the development, administering and management of the Moodle Learning Management System, responding to and trouble shoot all Moodle user based issues. Conduct the digital library content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information. Collect, analyse and report on website, digital library and Moodle statistics.   • Level 3 Diploma in Digital Media or equivalent and 4 GCSE’s grade 9-4 (A-C)
  • Experience in managing and authoring social media content and digital libraries
  • Administering and managing moodle or other Learning Management System
  • Experience of using IT, desktop and creative suites for design and publishing

Desirable criteria
