Your role

The contract manager is responsible for the management and oversight of market data subscriptions on behalf of UBS Global Banking.
You will have an in depth knowledge of market data sources used in investment banking industry and different subscription models
and terms, allowing you to manage vendors and contracts supplying the teams portfolio of services, advising the business on information
requirements, achieving the most cost effective blend of services, identifying displacement opportunities and other cost saving measures.

We’re looking for a vendor relationship manager to:
manage the relationship with market data vendors and manage the contracts providing services to Global Banking.
work with the Infocenter teams and the business to understand requirements, liaising with UBS procurement teams to initiate or renew service contracts.
manage contracts in line with UBS procurement policy and through UBS MDS procurement systems (Logistics Platform and RPM / MDM).
ensure subscription commercial terms and contractual T&Cs meet business requirements and communicate data usage terms to the subscriber group.
hold regular review meetings with each vendor, managing demos and trials of upgrades or alternative sources.
manage cost approvals and cost reporting for the GB business management team.
oversee management of user inventory, cost allocations / recharging and service invoice payments.

Your team

You will be working in the Information Center team based in UBS Global Banking in London. You will work with the Global Information Center team based principally in London, Hyderabad, HK, Japan, and Australia. The team works closely with and reports into the GB COO team / GB business management and the sider Global Banking banker population.

Your expertise

  • deep knowledge of the content and functionality of the major market data / Information sources used in investment banking.
  • experience managing market data / information vendor relationships with a broad knowledge of different licensing models and contract terms.
  • good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to interact with and influence internal stakeholders and market data vendor counterparties at all levels
  • highly motivated, flexible and proactive with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work on your own initiative to hit deadlines
  • advanced MS office skills required, some experience on Business Objects, MDM, Optima, SAP Logistics Platform / Ariba or similar billing, contract and inventory tools an advantage.
